Quotes of Tolkien

“Faithless is he that says farewell when the road darkens.” ― J.R.R. TolkienThe Fellowship of the Ring

“I wish it need not have happened in my time," said Frodo."So do I," said Gandalf, "and so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us.” ― J.R.R. TolkienThe Fellowship of the Ring

“Deserves it! I daresay he does. Many that live deserve death. And some that die deserve life. Can you give it to them? Then do not be too eager to deal out death in judgement. For even the very wise cannot see all ends.” ― J.R.R. TolkienThe Fellowship of the Ring

“The world is indeed full of peril, and in it there are many dark places; but still there is much that is fair, and though in all lands love is now mingled with grief, it grows perhaps the greater.” ― J.R.R. TolkienThe Two Towers

“If more of us valued food and cheer and song above hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world.” ― J.R.R. Tolkien

“I will not say, do not weep, for not all tears are an evil.” ― J.R.R. Tolkien

And These are all but few of many quotes that have been said by Tolkien himself or written in his books. Follow this link (https://www.goodreads.com/author/quotes/656983.J_R_R_Tolkien) to read more of Tolkien quotes.

English to Elvish

Two posts on my first day as a blogger, joy. The internet is really starting to consume everything, similar to the effect of a black hole or whatever form of enormous mass that forms at the center of each galaxy, meaning that eventually everything will be pulled into the massive density we call the "Internet" and will no longer be in existence, again fun. Anyway here's another picture that shows the Eldarian Alphabet and will allow you to translate English words in Elvish. (Middle-Earth and Beleriand)
-Also, follow the link below to a translator that will allow you to simply type in words and watch them turn into the beautiful and fluent Elven language.*

First Post and it's about Sherlock, go figure.

Finally got this stupid blog to do what I want, it took much longer than I would have liked, ugh, I should work with computers more often. Anyway, here's my first post, an oil painting of Sherlock Holmes from the television series "Sherlock" on BBC.
